Had the blessing of being able to attend our church’s other Friday Night Study. Usually it’s a rare opportunity for me to just be a participant in a study. It was enjoyable even with the unexpected fire alarm drill. The study was on Acts 8:14-40, the stories of Simon and the eunuch. I think verses 29 and 30 stood out the most:
The Spirit told Philip, “Go to that chariot and stay near it.” Then
Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the
prophet. “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked.The fact that Philip heard the Spirit talk to him and then he actually went and did it. It’s something I constantly have to work on.
