And yet another recall …
Dell has put out another recall for potentially,
explosive Sony batteries. A co-worker
joked about how Sony first tried to put a root kit on your computer and now
tries to destroy the evidence! And we
wonder why we haven’t seen any Sony VAIO’s have any of these problems. We wonder indeed.
A somewhat demented thought had crossed my mind while
talking about this with a different co-worker:
What happens if the batteries in our work laptops, (mine actually has a
bad battery) which are given for contingency purposes only, explode at home
while we are work. Who’s liable? Dell?
Work – since it’s not for work-at-home purposes? Or our personal home
insurance? Obviously we wish this on no
one but … What if?

I think sony’s stuff is slowly going by the wayside. it’ll be interesting to see how they pull off the PS3.
Sony’s new CEO is apprently taking the company back to what it does extremely well (I guess not making batteries) so expect to see alot of fringe Sony products disappear. On can only hope about the PS3. =P
apparently the army is replacing the batteries in all their dells….
