What A Week And It’s Only Wednesday! …
Two major things happened this week. First, the television series Lost ended after six years on the air. Sure, it had it’s really good seasons, decent seasons, why-am-I-still-watching seasons and oh-crap-they’re-really-ending-the-show season. For those who didn’t get it I think this commentary sums it up the best. I enjoyed the series finale. It would have been nice for them to have answered some more questions but that’s the beauty of the show – it makes you think and ponder what could be or what should have been. The second major thing was that after eight seasons on the air, 24 ended the only way it could have without Jack being killed off. Yes, President Taylor actions at the end were predictable but the show ended with some classic Chloe and Jack moments. It was about time the show ended because it seemed like they were rehashing some old ideas. You still can’t beat the first 15 minutes from Season 5.
- Don’t look at me, I voted for Kang. Ok, seriously they keep introducing some odd looking characters.
- Another reason to luv Ted - So, this week, after Leonsis had dressed to go to the lottery and to meet with NBA owners, his wife pointed out that he had accidentally mixed his black pinstripe coat with his blue pinstripe paints. The wife told him to go upstairs and change, but Leonsis thought about it and said no. Sorta reminds me of a friend who had a pair of black shoes on. One shoe had tassels the other did not.
- Can you really believe it’s been over a month since this happened? I still can’t believe there were no contingency plans in place to immediately plug up the pipes. A friend told me that’s counter to the office culture that if you bring up ideas of failing then you’re not a team player and you’re against the company. And yet stuff like this happens. Logic doesn’t always prevail I guess.
- For some reason I thought they were trying to make the tax code easier. Oh wait. That was the guy who lost the Presidency.
- Alas, the Phoenix has risen from the ashes one too many times. I salute those who keep the little bugger going!
- And for those who did watch Lost and thought there were a lot of commercials. There were. More than 45 minutes worth.
- I still find this amazing but I guess it’s a sign that the economy is bouncing back.
