Yin and Yang …
A few of us were able to gather at Mike’s American restaurant for dinner last night for a wild bachelor party of gluttony, boozing, and malicious slander about our spouses and their respective families.
Actually, we tied the bachelor up against a tree and threw jello at him.
Maybe, we just huddled around the table singing Kumbaya while eating Twinkies and Doritos.
Either way, remember rule #1 – No talking about Fight Club!
If anything the food at Mike’s was pretty good. A tad salty but good sized portions. I’d stay away from the mixed house salad. Had some weird dressing over it, considering I don’t care for dressing, it made the salad a tad uneatable for me since it was drenched in dressing. Remember, don’t drown your food! Now I’ve got an hankering for a hunk of cheese.
Besides the bachelor party, some other interesting things have happened over the past few days:
- Tuesday, was the day of the ping pong balls. The Wizards with the second worse record in the NBA had the second best chance of winning the First overall pick in the coming draft and could do no worse than 5th. Guess what the Zards got. Yep, the 5th pick. This draft is pretty sparse so Ernie is gonna have to do some digging for a decent rookie. There’s talk about trading the pick since the team is already pretty young. At this point I don’t care as long as they can get a productive person, especially a low-post threat who can defend. As much as I like Antawn Jamison, his defense is lacking.
- The National Zoo has said that Mei Xiang is not expecting. No new butterstick for the zoo.

- The GOP Brother: Michael Steele has been in the news lately. I like how he said: Ronald Reagan never lived in the past. Ronald Reagan was all about the future. If President Reagan were here today he would have no patience for Americans who looked backward. So if we’re not supposed to live in the future why is he using a quote from the past? Ahhhhhh, Michael, you so tricky!
- The House past the Credit Card Bill today. Some say that’s bad if you’re a good credit card user. While others say it’s good for those good credit card users. Dude maybe right on if you slip-up during a month or something but overall it’s gotta be bad for those good credit card users. Say hello to lower credit limits, the return of annual fees and no more perks. Stupid idiots, ruining it for all of us.

- WMATA announced that the medium income of it’s rail riders is $102K a year!!! Now who really believes that? Is this not a ploy to just raise rates again because “they” say the riders can afford it? What they do, poll the guy who won the huge Powerball lottery a few weeks ago? That just can’t be right.
- The seventh season of 24 ended on Monday. It was very anti-climatic. Poor Jack is running out of things to do. Season Eight should be him sleeping, eating, watching TV and time spent in the bathroom.
