When Is It Appropriate To Use …
Have you noticed that since the Tsunami disaster happened in 2004 there tends to be an overuse of the word “tsunami”? People called Katrina “our tsunami” and just recently I saw this article about a “tsunami of power shutoffs” for the those living in the state of Maryland. Does it bother you when people overuse a word that over exaggerates the situation only because it’s an “in” word to use? I think I’m gonna start saying stuff like “Dude, how many bean burritos did you eat? That was a tsunami of a fart!” or “My goodness! That’s a tsunami of a buffet bar.”
Sometimes, it’s just inconceivable.
Hmmm, I Guess More People Like It HOT …
The results don’t surprise me. The whole self-empowerment movement and “me” lifestyle helps take our eyes away from God. I laugh because reading these comments tons of people blame Bush and not themselves. I do especially like Mark‘s comments though. It’s funny how before the election people were calling for a guy who would save them. Save them politically. Save them financially. Save them socially. Apparently, the country got their man. Raise your arms up in a hallelujah!
However, I also sorta remember reading about how the Chosen Ones thought their Messiah would do the same. But apparently He only came to save us from our sins. I guess the priorities of man are sometimes not synced with Gods.
