That was an awesome video! Looks like it broke up during wing separation due to aerodynamic load … she ripped apart like toilet paper. Still those model rocket engines are awesome! We gotta build us an Tie-fighter!!

By the way … if you look around there’s a video of a F-14 Tomcat fighter model (not lifesize, but from tip to tail, it looked at least 4-6 ft. long) that remotely flies. It takes off and lands like a real plane.

Yep, visually the X-wing is nice but in an atmosphere, not so great. The X-wings in their locked s-foil position I believe is meant only for space combat. I wonder if they kept the s-foils closed would it have survived. And yes, the rocket engines were pretty awesome =)
