Egads! I wonder what we’re doing on May 7th.
Apparently, Iran is furious about the portrayal of the Persians in 300. Not knowing that much about this particular battle, it was nice to watch the History Channel’s The Last Stand of the 300 to gain the better historical perspective. Either way, the movie and show were both from the non-Middle East point of view. Which from my understanding is the better view point for this event. I personally would like to see something positive come out of this and have the Iranians put out a movie or show from the Persians point of view. Enlighten the ignorant West about the Persian empire and in particularly about this event because err knowing is half the battle … Yo Joe! (I couldn’t resist). Alas, I think those in power are just blowing smoke to stir up more anti-US sentiments in the Middle East.
