  • Hasbro’s response to the 10th Anniversary Tickle Me Elmo!

    Spider-Man & Friends Itsy-Bitsy Spider-Man
    – He talks, dances, even sings! This friendly plush, electronic
Spider-Man figure is ready to boogie! Press his left foot and he sings
and dances to the “Itsy-Bitsy Spider” song! Press his right foot and he
moves and grooves while singing the Spider-Man & Friends theme
song! He even says fun phrases like, “Would you like to have some fun?”
and “C’mon, let’s do it again!” A convenient volume-control switch lets
you decide just how loud Spidey sings!

    ** Update**
So I snarfed what Hasbro had to say on their website.  I was tired, tired silly but still.  After looking at Spidey don’t you think he just needs a backwards baseball cap and he’s “Gangster Rap Spidey” busting rhymes while swinging on spidey vines.  I mean look at those mad hand gestures he’s sporting.

  • Muppets Matrix

Probably the best Matrix spoof that I’ve seen.  The Meatrix wasn’t bad but who doesn’t find Kermit saying “Whoa” and “Guns.  Lots of Guns.” like Kenu totally hilarious.  Jim Henson, you are missed.

Also here’s a salute to Kylie Minogue who beat breast cancer and got to sing with Kermit.

  • PS3 Not Just For Game Playing

Looks like SETI has some competition.  Either way it’s a good use of those non-gaming processor cycles.

  • A walking shark?

Looks like the Frankenfish (here’s the Scifi webpage) has some competition off the coast of Indonesia.  Sadly there have been at least three movies about the snakehead fish.

  • Need some space to backup your computer?

    AMD and Streamload
are offering a free online storage service, calles AMD Live! Media
Vault. You get up to 25GB of free storage, limited to 1GB of downloads
per month. Uploads are limited only to the amount of space you have
available, and are not otherwise metered. (copied from slickdeals)

  • I wonder if I could use this little demo the next time a telemarketer calls:

  • What would you do with 800 cans of okra, beans and corn?

Feed the hungry?  The poor?  Nah!  We’ll make food art with it!

  • All because a friend mentioned Snakes in her recent blog posting …

(As funny as I found this, how could Serpentor make it through security as a known terrorist?  Doesn’t he have his own para-military group anyways?  Or did Cobra Commander kick him out?)

And one more just because I can see this happening:

(Not Snakes on EVERY Plane but them making a sequal)

  • I’m feeling the need to laugh …

(Too bad this doesn’t work on Chewy!)

I don’t think most people will get the above humor so here’s another one …

Man I couldn’t stop laughing after I saw both of those!
(Other similar and not so similar webcomics from xkcd.)

  • Is it just a day of remembrance?

Five years ago we know what happened.  I still remember it like it was
    yesterday.  It’s interesting to hear
what people have to say about 9/11 on a day of remembrance.  But why do we only reflect upon these events,
how the world changed, and how people felt or are feeling just once a
year?  Why don’t we reflect upon these
things more and especially on how we can change the world everyday of our
lives?  It reminds me of our walk with
God (in a generalized fashion) in how we only seek Him when we are unsure of
what to do or need His strength.  God
can change our lives for the better if we are focused on Him every second of it
and yet do we?  How would the world be
better if instead of trying to be with God when we feel we need Him we seek
Him in all that we do and think?
Because without God, how could I get through five years of remembering
    9/11?
